Hotel offers free food to use bicycles in Copenhagen

Crowne Paza Hotel in Copenhagen is testing a pilot program for a year in which guests can use bikes to generate energy to join, and in return receive food stamps in the hotel restaurant.

This initiative seeks to reduce the environmental footprint, and not only that, lets have a cardiovascular exercise benefits.

The stationary bikes are connected to generator and an iPhone that displays the wattage generated. Every 15 minutes of activity generates watts of power 10 hours, and the guest this is a voucher for a meal equivalent of $ 36 dollars.

If this project works we could see more hotels follow this trend. Let's see if this technology can be deployed elsewhere, encourage exercise and have a positive impact on the environment.
